About The Consignment Process

Bring us your gently used items. Clothing should be CLEAN, in good condition with no stains or alterations. We will go through your items and determine what is sellable. After the item is processed, it goes on the selling floor for 60 days. After 60 days you have the option of picking up your items within an additional 5 days. Any items not picked up by the consignor within this period will automatically become the property of the store. Typically after 60 days the items are then marked down and either sold or donated to several LOCAL non-profit organizations that we support in Shenandoah County including Blue Ridge Hospice, the Shenandoah County Pregnancy Center, Shenandoah Valley Coalition for Christ, The Family Promise of Shenandoah County, Relay for Life , Victims of Disasters and other worthwhile needs of the Community.

We spend a lot of time and money to generate the traffic in our store to sell your items within the first 60 days. We have over 4,000 likes on our Facebook account, advertise online and through this website and put paid ads in several weekly and monthly publications. Consigning is fun and takes the hassle out of selling your items to put money in your pocket for everyday expenses or for special things like Christmas or vacation money.

Buying at our shop also helps out many of the organizations listed above and the 2,000+ consignors (your friends and neighbors) that are our consignors. There is only a $5 fee per year to consign with us which can be debited from your first items sold on your account. Because we have a limited space and we have a list of Items we have to say “No Thanks” to. Please do not feel offended if we do not take some of your items as we pull items every day that have not sold in the allotted time so we see firsthand what will not sell in our particular store.
